AO / BB (Alles Ohne / Bareback)

AO (“Everything Without”) or BB (Bareback) refers to sex without a condom. In Switzerland, AO is openly advertised by some providers (often in response to higher bids), but is urgently rejected by reputable professionals and all advice centers:

• HIV: without a condom, depending on the practice, 0.04-1.4% risk of transmission per act
• Gonorrhea / chlamydia / syphilis: 30-90% each for a single contact with infected person
• Hepatitis B/C: with bloody acts significantly

Stealthing (secretly removing condoms) has been a punishable offense since 2024 - see Stealthing. Anyone who writes out AO should have a complete screening done at least monthly, take PrEP and pay attention to U=U status (Undetectable HIV).
