A service booth (also known as a "sex drive-in") is a structure designed to facilitate street prostitution under safe conditions. Clients drive their cars into a separate booth, which is designed so that the sex worker can exit at any time or reach security personnel.
This model has been established in Switzerland primarily in Zurich (Sihlquai in 2013, now Depotweg/Altstetten) and Bern (Boxen Werkhof). The facilities include restrooms, a counseling center, and 24-hour support. Studies show a measurable decrease in assaults compared to traditional street prostitution.
