Strassenstrich

Offering sexual services on public streets.

Auch bekannt als: Strassenprostitution, Strich

Street work refers to the offering of sexual services in public spaces. In Switzerland, it is now permitted only in strictly limited zones (restricted areas prohibit it almost everywhere). Unlike indoor sex work, street work is particularly precarious—involving higher risks due to a lack of client selection, cold weather, and limited access to hygiene facilities.

Counseling centers such as Flora Dora (Zurich), Aspasie (Geneva), Xenia (Bern), and Fleur de Pavé (Lausanne) operate mobile outreach points directly on the street.
