G-Bewilligung

Permit for cross-border commuters from EU/EFTA who work in Switzerland and live in their home country.

Auch bekannt als: Grenzgängerbewilligung

The G permit is the Swiss residence permit for border commuters from EU/EFTA countries. Requirements: Residence in the EU/EFTA border area, return to place of residence at least weekly. Valid for 5 years, extension possible.

For self-employed sex workers (especially those commuting from Italy to Ticino), the G permit is the correct status. Without a G permit, all sex work is considered illegal work, with fines and entry bans as a result.
