G-Bewilligung

Permit for cross-border commuters from the EU/EFTA who work in Switzerland and live in their home country.

Auch bekannt als: Grenzgängerbewilligung

The G permit is the Swiss residence permit for cross-border workers from EU/EFTA countries. Requirements: Residence in the EU/EFTA border region, return to the place of residence at least once a week. Valid for 5 years, with the possibility of renewal.

For self-employed sex workers (especially those commuting from Italy to Ticino), the G permit is the correct status. Without a G permit, any sex work is considered illegal employment, resulting in fines and a ban on entry.
