What are PEP and PrEP and where can I get them?

PEP (post-exposure prophylaxis) = emergency medication after possible HIV contact, must be taken within 48-72 hours (emergency treatment in any hospital emergency room). PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis) = preventative tablet against HIV infection, has been covered by health insurance under certain conditions since 2024.
