What are PEP and PrEP, and where can I get them?
PEP (Post-Exposure Prophylaxis) = emergency medication following possible HIV exposure; must be taken within 48–72 hours (available at any hospital emergency room). PrEP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis) = preventive pill against HIV infection; has been covered by health insurance under certain conditions since 2024.
