Buddy-System

Safety procedure: A designated contact person is aware of the appointment, contact information, and location, and follows up after the event.

Auch bekannt als: Backup-Person

The buddy system is a key safety measure in sex work: A trusted person (a colleague, family member, or counseling center) knows the date, time, location, and client’s name before every appointment and checks in if the sex worker does not send a sign of life by the agreed-upon time.

Tools for this: WhatsApp location sharing, Find My Friends, dedicated apps like "bSafe" or "Watch Over Me." Counseling centers offer an anonymous buddy service for sex workers who lack a personal support network.
